Counselling in Fareham and Southsea
TrainingI started training to become a counsellor in 2012 and qualified in 2015. However, I continued training and achieved a first class BA Honours degree in 2017 as well as a Masters Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy in 2022. Since then I have continued to learn through continued personal development (CPD) as well as regular supervision with a qualified supervisor. I have also trained in the Rewind Technique with Dr David Muss - a technique used for treating trauma and phobias.

Professional MembershipI am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to the code of ethics set out by the association and have been deemed competent to practice as a counsellor. Being a member means I have met the requirements of the organisation including my training, client hours and supervision and I have also had my qualifications checked.

ExperienceAs well as running my own private practice, I have provided counselling in a variety of different agencies and settings. My experience is varied including offering telephone support at Rape Crisis. I have also counselled bereaved clients for Cruse and The Bereavement Counselling Charity as well as counselling patients at an NHS GP surgery for a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression and stress.
